Digital Cinema Packages have been the global cinema standard since 2002 and are not simply single files anymore but a collection of assets, which need to fulfill strict guidelines. Be it for festivals or regular theatrical runs, cinemas worldwide need such a DCP, they mostly cannot play anything else.
